MidWorld

Midworld is the computer game that the ISU Game Developers Club is officially submitting to the IndependentGamesFestival contest for 2003.

Tasks for Release

Priority 1

  • A level
    • Level file written
    • MidworldModels?
  • AI
  • Animation by Keyframing (BenScott and ChadAustin)
  • Fill out application for the IGF (JoshBrown)
  • Update midworld webpage and make it a 'game page', not a 'development page'

Priority 2

  • Heads up display (LeviVanoort? and ChadAustin)
    • Straight up 2D graphical design here
  • Sound effects
    • Pistol
    • Assault Rifle
    • Graphics for Max Payne-style storytelling (comic book style)
  • Other inmates in the compound
    • Mutated/normal men/children/women/other
    • Dead bodies
  • Ammo handling (picking up more ammo)
    • Player needs a generic ammo bag that all weapons draw from first.

  • Model pieces (for explosions)
    • Models of the pieces (can we rip this from the models?)
    • Need that particle engine
